This summer, Emil Danielsson spent approximately two months at our Stockholm office, working as a summer trainee in the Finance & Restructuring team. What do summer trainees do, and what does a summer at Hannes look like? Emil has the answers to these questions.
According to Emil, a typical working day involved a variety of tasks, such as drafting mortgage agreements and different kinds of corporate documents and conducting legal research on relevant issues.
It has been very exciting and informative to be able to be a part of a transaction from the start all the way through it.
He goes on to say that a typical working day could also include internal lectures and training covering the different business areas of the company.
Emil had known his team before starting his summer traineeship, as he spent last autumn in the group as a law student trainee. Right now, Emil is finishing up his last semester at Uppsala University’s Faculty of Law, and he is working on his thesis as a thesis trainee at Hannes.
I would say that in my case all three roles have had many similarities, since they all give you an opportunity to become a part of the team and work within a specific business area.
What is your fondest summer memory from your time at Hannes?
The first thing that springs to my mind is our participation in the Swedish championships for lawyers in football, even though the end results might not be something to brag about. It was a social event, amongst many, and it was so much fun and gave me a great opportunity to get acquainted with my colleagues outside of the office environment. Another nice memory is one of the after-work dinners, which involved a delicious three-meter-long Italian pizza. That pretty much speaks for itself, doesn’t it?
